Hi,
I have been keeping some Carex 'Frosted Curls' in P9 pots to use in my potting displays. In the past month they have been gradually turning brown! I water them every week so theyre never super dry, but aren't waterlogged either. I'm struggling to find advice on what is ailing them, any wisdom would be great!
Thanks!

Most Carex are evergreen but 'Frosted curls' and 'Comans Bronze' do tend to shed, as in lose older foliage. Read my guide here on pruning grasses to see how you can give them a bit of tidying up. It's more than likely that they are just shedding old growth.

Another tip is to pot them on or give them a liquid feed. As they are in p9 (9cm) pots they will no doubt have used up all of the nutrition this year. So a feed will help them bounce back.
