Hello, does anyone know how far away from water pipes pussy willow should be planted? Lots of websites say plant it "well away" from pipes because the roots can get into pipes, but nowhere says how far this should be! Thanks.

Thanks for your comment about planting Willow trees.

You're right about vigorous rooting trees to avoid pipe work.

I would always plant a tree like this at least 2.5m away from pipework as a minimum. Or choose a less vigorous rooting tree such as an Acer or fruit tree.
