Many thanks that you've enjoyed my Wisteria pruning video. I must admit, specialist plant pruning is one of my favourite skills!
If I were you I'd prune back to 6 even though its a bit late. I did mine the other day. The reason for this, it stops the wisteria from looking too bald and is a bit gentler on the climber. The excess growth acts as a buffer against the wind and any really brutal squaly weather. Then late winter, back to three.
