I’ve inherited this apple tree (Blenheim Orange) in my garden and feel like it’s out of control! We had a pruned 2 years ago, which has just resulted in it spending the last 2 years growing back to its original size. Very little fruit, of which are too high for us to get to before the birds. Just wondering peoples thoughts on whether it’s salvageable or it’s time to chop. The house has been extended since it was originally planted so also feels slightly in the wrong place so close to the house but I do also appreciate it’s history and obviously the birds love it.
Many thanks in advance for your thoughts!
